Trauma, Burn & Critical Care Surgery

The Division of Trauma, Burn & Critical Care Surgery is based at Harborview Medical Center. The only Level 1 (regional) Trauma Center serving Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho, this clinical arm of Harborview - known as Harborview's Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center - cares for emergency surgical and trauma patients, and is closely linked to the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center. Working closely with Plastic Surgery division, Trauma, Burn and Critical Care Surgery provides highly skilled, emergency and rehabilitative burn care for victims in the four-state region. By cooperative agreement with Children's Hospital, Harborview is also the region's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
