Carlos Camal-Sanchez, D.N.P., A.R.N.P., C.C.R.N, is a doctor of nursing practice and board certified nurse practitioner at UW Medical Center and a UW affiliate assistant professor of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems and a teaching associate of Surgery.

Dr. Camal has expertise in vascular surgery and adult gerontology. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Camal received his medical education at the UW. He was the first student to complete the UW Medical Center Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner Fellowship. His clinical interests include vascular disorders screening, evaluation, claudication, carotid stenosis, abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous disease, venous ulcers, varicose veins and lymphedema, deep vein thrombosis and superficial venous thrombosis management. His research interests include peer-reviewed publication and quality improvement projects through interdisciplinary teams to promote and improve patient health.
