Emily Fate, DNP, ARNP is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology at the University of Washington Medical Center. She received her doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Washington.

Prior to attending graduate school, Fate practiced as a registered nurse for five years. She has taught in various capacities at Carroll College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well as the University of Washington School of Nursing.

Fate's current interests include advanced heart failure, heart transplant, mechanical circulatory devices and palliative care. She believes in putting patients first and partnering with her patient and family to help determine how medical care can best fit their lifestyle, needs, and cultural preferences.
