Bio:

I am originally from the small mountain town of Saranac Lake, New York. I have long held passions for the seemingly dichotomous fields of art and medicine. As an undergraduate, I studied Human Physiology and Visual Art at Boston University with the goal of becoming a medical illustrator. However, a transformative internship at Shriner’s Pediatric Burn Hospital exposed me to the artistry of Plastic Surgery and pushed me to pursue a career in medicine. I subsequently completed a research year with the Boston University Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center and Framingham Heart Study examining the clinical and pathologic longitudinal effects of repetitive traumatic brain injury. I went on to obtain my medical degree from Boston University with honors and was fortunate to match at the University of Washington for Plastic Surgery Residency. I continue to cultivate my passion for the visual arts through medical illustration and have had the opportunity to publish multiple figures across the fields of general and plastic surgery, neurology, and immunology.

Personal Interests:

Painting, drawing, and digital illustration; figure skating; reality television; competitive game nights, themed parties, and family dinners with my co-residents.

Clinical Interests:

My clinical interests include Gender Affirming Surgery, Microsurgery, and Surgical Education.
